Role:
- Oversee the preparation of financial management and performance reports
- Ensure a regular consolidation, review and analysis of client’s subsidiaries financial performance
- Master the consolidation system, suggest constant improvements in the overall consolidation process in order to achieve maximum automation and integration
- Ensure the reports are developed in an understandable format according to internal and statutory controls, as well as appropriate international standards
- Ensure effective coordination with external bodies such as auditors to facilitate the audit process and follow up on corrective actions implementation
- Provide input improving the overall financial reporting process of the group
- Measure performance against set targets for the department and provide guidance for achievement of targets
- Keep abreast of technical developments, ensuring that changes to rules, regulations or guidance are appropriately communicated to internal and external team respectively
- Coordinate delivery of ad hoc information request to various stakeholders within and outside the organization on a timely basis
Requirements
- 5 – 10 years relevant work experience with strong financial consolidations in a group level organization or large complex entity
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Master’s degree is preferred
- Certifications in Finance, such as CFA, CPA, SOCPA, ACA, CIMA or ACCA is preferred
- Knowledge of IFRS and other GAAPs
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting practices, issues, policies and procedures
- Experience of using consolidation systems like SAP FC, Oracle FCCS, Hyperion, IBM Cognos
