Our client, a prestigious government entity, is looking for a Community Engagement Unit Head to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The Unit Head manages and coordinates all activities linked to engaging various audience segments with educational and cultural activities and programs. They will manage, organise and disseminate information about the exhibitions, interpretation and education activities for a variety of audiences, staff, contractors and volunteers.

The role:

- Work with the Education and Learning Resources Manager, prepare the short and medium term plans for the unit and assist in establishing methods, policies and procedures for implementing programmes in alignment with the strategic vision, mission and goals
- Manage and prepare a variety projects for Education and Learning Resources department activities.
- Facilitate and coordinate the training required for the team of volunteers and guides (usually two to three times a year) and ensure junior staff within the unit are well versed.
- Organise roadshows, for schools, universities, People of Determination, hard to reach communities, the academic community, creative community, families and volunteers (amongst others)
- Prepare progress and status reports by analysing and summarizing the information, trends and forecasts of visits.
- Contribute to departmental plans which project funding, feasibility, staffing, and related constraints of the department, ensuring the availability of required resources to carry out all the tasks related to the needs
- Responsible to link the programmes to the diverse audiences with the aim to make the organisation a place for many communities, ensuring local content and context is well represented
- Develop and lead academic and community events in and outside the organisation

Requirements:

- UAE National with a Family Book
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, or equivalent
- 7 years+ post graduate experience in running community engagement and outreach programmes
- Experience of budget and project management
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Management experience is a MUST
