Reporting into the Chief Investment Officer, the job holder is accountable to monitor the financial and operational performance of the portfolio companies via assessing the entities’ KPIs, balancing and de-risking the portfolio of investments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide inputs for the development of the strategy of the function
- Measure performance against set targets for the portfolio of companies and provide guidance for the achievement of targets
- Ensure continuous improvement of internal procedures and methods of work of the sub-function
- Oversee the development of a framework with related tools to track, evaluate, analyze, optimize and report the performance of the portfolio companies
- Direct the development of Investment/Portfolio Management KPIs
- Oversee the performance (financial and operational) of portfolio companies and track progress against defined value creation plans
- Review identified potential risks with regard to respective portfolio balance to CIO
- Participate in all investment-related committees and meetings
- Act as the focal point between the portfolio companies' BoD and the CIO
- Discuss the portfolio companies' performance, progress, and identified risks with the respective BoD and agree on an action plan to enhance and optimize the company’s performance
- Define goals & key performance indicators for direct reportees and ensure effective implementation of the performance management process
Experience:
- 13+ years of experience doing portfolio management within the relevant sector
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting/finance or economics
- Master’s degree in business administration/accounting/finance or economics
- CFA certification or equivalent
