Senior Internal Communications Manager

Our client, an exciting government entity in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a Senior Manager of Internal Communications to join their team. They will be responsible for developing, owning and executing the internal communications strategy for the organization and provide direction and deployment.

Please note that this is an Emiratisation role according to the requirements of our clients, and only UAE Nationals with a Family Book will be contacted.

The role:

- Develop and implement an internal communications plan to support the aspirations of the organization, ensuring its effective integration across each function
- Attend leadership meetings to advise on communications impacts and issues and advising Executives on policy and best practice
- Provide best practice communications advice and support teams across functions. Manage information levels and the amount of communications flowing across the organization
- Support the creation of a beliefs-led culture that reinforces the meaning and purpose of the organization
- Work at all levels to raise understanding of its purpose and role within the wider ecosystem
- Work with the brand, external relations and HR teams to ensure that internal communication activity is fully aligned and supports these key areas
- Implement the strategy & process to reinforce desired behaviours across the organization
- Ensure that relevant issues are communicated to other governmental entities, making sure that key information is included in all relevant communications channels
- Collaborate where required with the Heads of Functions to create integrated campaigns across the organization


- UAE National with a Family Book
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in internal communications, with the last 2 years in a leadership position
- Masters in Communication and strategy related fields
- Strategic and innovative thinking with the ability to align with leadership on strategic goals and manage priorities 
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, ability to coordinate with and manage various stakeholder groups, wear many different hats and lead different conversational styles
- Proven ability to articulate/ advocate the organization vision and strategic objectives 
- Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Support the team in the creation of communications plans and messages in support of organizational objectives and ensure that the overall communications plan is being delivered 
- Constantly improve devise & implement standards, policies and governance that ensure internal communications are simple, consistent and executed effectively
- Develop the required channels and capabilities to create an effective internal communications infrastructure
