Our client, a leading financial services entity in the UAE is currently in search of a Chief Strategy & Digital Transformation Officer with vast experience in Strategic Planning and Digitization to lead the bank's modernisation in order to boost efficiency & productivity, attract & retain talent, minimising operational risks & ultimately to delivering value & impact to shareholders & clients

This role has overall accountability for driving the organisational transformation forward as the high level orchestrator of the change process.

The role

- Reporting to the CEO and working collaboratively with the Accountable Executives & Board who are accountable for delivering the discrete initiatives that make the change process
- Ensure the Bank’s modernisation targets are delivered
- Establish the systems & culture to capture & analyse data, support how the organisation can communicate the banks impact, to support continuous learning & to ensure the credibility of external reporting to stakeholders & investors
- The definition & implementation of a Data Governance strategy, framework & policies that supports robust, verifiable & consistent reporting; strengthens data quality; & enables the linkage of people, finance & productivity data
- Sets the vision and defines a comprehensive digital strategy across the organization
- Formulation, delivery, communication and implementation of the Bank’s strategies and policies in Transformation and Business Change, IT, Data Governance, and Administrative Services

Client requirements

- Minimum 18 years' experience from a similar background in a top tier bank
- A proven, significant professional track record in designing transformational business solutions aligned with the strategic vision of the organization
- Good understanding of technology solutions and their business application, IT infrastructure, data governance and analytics, and the ability to drive the development of new products, processes and standards to support the business strategy
- Demonstrable partnership skills to enable positive engagement and contribution to the Executive Committee, and other senior management committees, to contribute to the cohesiveness of the bank's senior management
- Excellent strategic thinking skills and the ability to map business strategy into business change plans and physical resource requirements
