Our client, an exciting government entity in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their ]team. The Specialist will be responsible for executing end-to-end procurement processes and ensuring all procurement activities are effectively managed in order to ensure requirements from products and services are attended to in a timely manner.

Please note that this is an Emiratisation requirement, and only UAE Nationals with a Family Book will be contacted.

Role:

- Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including data collection, documentation, negotiation, contract award, contract management and supplier relationship management
- Responsible for adjusting payment terms in favour of the company to improve the organization’s cash flow and ensuring delivery schedules are maintained
- Participate in development of procurement plans by compiling needs and requirements from products and services and forecasting demand
- Assist in defining channels for dispute escalation with vendors and establishing a clear dispute resolution process between the vendor and the Procurement Department
- Participate in assessing bidders’ scope of work and evaluating bidders’ proposals and pricing terms of services and compile findings in a report format to be presented to management for decision-making and pursuance
- Responsible for maintaining and filing existing contracts’ terms and conditions, following-up on delivery and payment schedules and reporting to management on any delays or non-compliances
- Identify opportunities to streamline the procurement process by reducing associated dependencies, timelines and costs and address the issues raised with the corresponding department/business units

Requirements:

- UAE National with a Family Book
- Bachelors’ degree in supply chain or relevant field
- Project management, CIPS or NCMA certification preferable
- A minimum of 2-6 years of experience within SERVICES procurement
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
